Summary:

Vacupack Elite
Vacupack is a respected name in the vacuum sealer world with over 25 years of providing quality products. That was why we went looking for these machines when the time came to replace the old one that gave up the ghost after only year of use. The durability and reliability of the Vacupack product was a deciding factor. This is not a cheap Chinese knockoff. The Vacupack vacuum sealers are made in Italy and modified for sale here in the United States. The modification made is a one of a kind, high quality heat bar that seals any bag, wet or dry. The bottom line for me was that I wanted a sealer that would last five years or longer. The Vacupack comes with a 2 year warranty and a 5 year service contract, unheard of in the vacuum sealer industry.

Our Review of the Vacupack Elite Vacuum Sealer:

I could tell just by looking at this machine on the counter that it was a good machine. There was stainless steel everywhere. The vacuum pump was double protected from being flooded by a diversion water trap as well as an elevated snorkel device. Some of the competitor models had a wider seal capability than the 12.5 inches this one had but the quality of the crimping heat bar on the Vacupack stops moisture in its tracks to seal any bag put to the test. I did notice that bags with a textured weave got better results than a smooth, untextured bag but that was just a minor distraction. The real test was being able to seal almost 60 bags before I had to give this machine a rest to cool down. That’s a lot of bags compared to other vacuum sealers I’ve seen in action. The unit had automatic and manual modes so I could either let the machine have its own way or control it expertly at the touch of a button to keep my more delicate things from being crushed. The Vacupack Elite will draw up to 26 or 27 inches of mercury (hg) vacuum.

Features of the Vacuum Sealer:

  • Vacuum port to use an external vacuum hose to jar sealers and canisters.
  • Uses standard textured bag material such as the Vacupack 4 mil trademarked bag. It is also compatible with all the standard 3 mil rolls.
  • Channel style unit for both automatic, and “manual mode” operation. You will appreciate the hands free automatic feature but still have the ability to have full control in a manual sealing mode.
  • High quality stainless steel gives this sealer its professional commercial grade appearance.

Conclusions:

This sealer is what I expected it to be and more. It doesn’t overcrowd my kitchen space as its form factor is compact and efficient. The biggest impression it made on me was its ability to seal bag after bag without needing a rest. That saved me tons of time for getting other things done.
